The chassis is a steel chassis holding PCBs of each circuit of the receiver.
It's very compact and well made for a 16 inches portable tellye.
All circuits are tubes based and the chassis itself is an example of simplicity compared to other models from others fabricants much complex than this here.
The only semiconductor based part is the UHF tuner.
